Mirror Neutrality
Observe. Don't judge.
“I see myself without a verdict.”
Why this challenge
Before you can change yourself, you need to become capable of looking at yourself without immediately turning observation into judgment.
This challenge separates seeing yourself from deciding what you think about yourself.
That separation becomes important later when you begin confronting identity, confidence, and self-image.
What you do
Every time you pass a mirror, stop and observe yourself for five seconds.
Do not criticize yourself.
Do not compliment yourself.
Simply observe.
What to notice
Where did I see myself in a mirror today? What did I notice? What judgment appeared? What happened when I didn't follow it?
Before you begin
A simple practice with a powerful effect.
